Peyton Manning

So he today announced he isn't retiring. Where would you draft him? In 2010 he was still one of the best. Would you stake your team on him, wait to see if he falls, or not pick him at all?

Choosing the Giants

Not my first choice. I'm a Dallas fan. However, for the purposes of this NFL Redraft, NYC is a great choice: huge market, new stadium, great fans. As an owner, NYC is very attractive. Not to mention there will be favorable reporting from ESPN since it's on the East coast!

So that's my choice, in a nutshell. This experiment for NFL fans sounds fun, and I'm looking forward to getting started. Good luck to everyone.

Expanding the NFL

Officially announcing the creation of the Mexico City Aztecs... We will play in Estadio Azteca located in the southern part of Mexico City... set up for American Football the stadium seats 104,000 (as stated by the NFL before the 2005 regular season game played in this stadium between the 49ers and the Cardinals)

Team colors will be Gold, with turquoise and white accent colors!

First Overall

Seems to me with the first overall pick you would have to take a QB. Given that there are really 4 options. Brady is the best player in the NFL but turns 35 next season. Rodgers is a system QB and would be scary to see him try to play without being surrounded by weapons and Brees is 10 years older than my pick. Its a bit of a risk, but you basically guarantee a superbowl contender for the next 15 years by taking Luck with the first overall!

Cities

Why did we pick the city we picked? I feel like this is something that can be seriously rethought in the NFL. Luckily, we do not have the burden of loyalty to a pre-existing city when we select our cities.
I for one picked DC. I am going to use the existing stadium. I think this is a perfect city because there is draw not only from the city itself which ranks in the top 7 for US populated cities, but there are also people who live in neighboring cities and states who come into DC daily and who will also support that franchise. This has proven to be a reliable sports city who continues to get behind their franchises despite consistently losing records.

Why did you all choose your city and where will you put the stadium etc if you so choose to take that path?

Recruitment

We are still searching for more people to pick up franchises! When we get 32 we will randomly assign teams and then randomly assign draft order. We could do an inverse picking for city location of the franchises if we wanted to as well.

Welcome

Who would you pick to start an NFL franchise? Which positions are the most important? Can a team be built that will showcase Tebow's talents?

As you probably know if you happened to find your way here, we are trying to figure out the answers to these questions. My brother Zack and I (Max) have argued these questions relentlessly. We figured the best way to answer these questions would be to do a mock redraft of the entire NFL (including the 2012 rookie class). We want to get 32 people together and pretend we are starting the NFL again. The goal of this redraft isn't to "win" rather we want to see what will happen. You can draft a guy who is currently a backup as your starting QB (Matt Flynn anyone?). Basically we will keep drafting until we feel like stopping. We will use a google spreadsheet so we can all edit our picks. Everyone can pick/be assigned an NFL team so you can draft local hero's if you want (the equivalent of LeBron to the Cavs... oh wait, this is awkward...).

This will be fun! Also this blog will be a place where we can write about out picks and general team strategy.
